Our goal is to assist you in having a most enjoyable vacation in the mountains of western North Carolina, especially Macon County. It is difficult to call it work, when we reside in an area most people work 51 weeks a year to visit.
We believe work should be fun, since life should be a vacation.
Meet Rest in the Mountains, llc employees
John Bueck, Rental Manager at Rest in the Mountains, llc has been in the rental management business approximately 6 years. In addition to this experience, John has been co-owner of his own rental properties for many years. He is also a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker. John was born in Alabama but his family is from Macon County. His grandfather served as the Superintendent of Public Schools in Macon County. Johns' roots are in this area and he has lived here since he graduated from college in 1990. John has a Bachelors of Science degree from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee.
John enjoys spending as much time as possible on the lakes of the area with his 5 year old son and 10 year old daughter.
George Stanley, Owner of Rest in the Mountains, llc has co-owned rental property with John Bueck for several years. George's career has been with the local community college. George has served as Comptroller for the college in his early years and the last many years, George served as Vice President for Administrative Services. This position was that of Chief Financial Officer. The position has given George valued experiences in dealing with people, being familiar with various aspects of the law, knowledge of the area and its' demographics. George is primarily involved with the finances of Rest in the Mountains, llc.
George was born in England moving to this country when he was three years of age. George has lived in Western North Carolina since 1959 and considers him self a mountain boy. George has an AAS degree in Accounting, a BSBA degree in Economics and a Masters degree in Education. George attended Southwestern Community College and Western Carolina University.
John and George, both have a laid back, casual, southern personality. Both enjoy life to the fullest and agree having a good time while performing a job is essential to assuring their guest have a good, pleasant vacation in the mountains.
